Pack Meeting - Popcorn and Dues DUE!
Remember we have Pack Meeting this evening at 6 pm at the church. Please come prepared to turn in all your popcorn sales money AND dues for the next calendar year.
Dues are $26 per scout for the year. If you would like to also subscribe to Boys Life, that is an additional $12 for a total of $38. See our treasurer or myself if you are interested in a scholarship for part or all of your dues as those are available.
LOTS of boys have earned LOTS of awards so I encourage you to come.
Have your scouts come in uniform for candy!

Program Planning Meeting for 2014-2015
We will hold a Program Planning meeting for our pack to schedule
our events for the coming year. We want input from our families on
activities we will do and where we will focus our effort. We will meet
at Cullowhee Methodist church on Monday, July 28th at 6 pm in the
"library" room - across the hall from the big room where we normally
meet for scouts. Please plan on around two hours. We will have some
pizza on hand for a "working supper."
We are not planning on activities for kids and ask that only parents come. If you have any questions, please contact me (828.399.1657) or Eric Hester, our committee chair.
If you are interested in volunteering in some capacity with the pack, whether helping with one activity or task or being a den leader, this is a great time to let us know and figure out how to include you and your skills.

Fontana Dam Trip - Details
Fontana Dam Trip - Saturday July 19
We will leave from Cullowhee United Methodist Church at 10:30 am and convoy there. We should get there at about lunch time - please bring a picnic lunch for yourselves. After lunch we will spend some time in the visitor's center to learn about the dam, then have about a 30 minute hike on the trail, depending on the weather. Make sure to bring plenty of water, any snacks you want, and comfortable shoes and clothes.

If your scout hasn't earned the Hiking belt loop yet, this is a good opportunity:

July 19 - Fontana Dam Trip
Saturday, July 19th seems to be the date that most people can do
something, so we will have a pack trip to Fontana Dam that day.
Tentatively, we will meet at Cullowhee UMC, caravan over, have a picnic
lunch and check out the dam, the visitor's center, and have a hike on
the nearby trail. I'll send more details closer to the date. For now,
please mark your calendars!

Final Pack Meeting - June 2nd
Our final Pack Meeting will be Monday, June 2nd at the
Rec Center in Cullowhee. We have reserved the picnic shelter between
the swings and basketball court. Our pack meeting will start at 6:00 and
will include giving out all the final awards our boys have earned.
After that, we will have a hot dog supper and then time for the boys to
play. Your whole family is welcome, of course.
I'm asking each family to bring one side dish and/or one dessert to share. We will provide hot dogs, buns, condiments, paper products, and water (our pack avoids sodas).
Please contact me if you have any questions.

Yard Sale
Please be reminded that Boy Scout Troop 914 is having a yard
sale to benefit our Pack tomorrow (Saturday) from 8 am until noon. I
believe I mistakenly said it would be held at Cullowhee Methodist. That
is incorrect; it will be held at Wholesale Supply in Sylva, beside
Speedy's Pizza.
Here is a link to their address in Google Maps if you need it:

I encourage you to come and support our scouts!
